In Case of Emergency....

This post is for our readers who have enjoyed Ethan's antics in the past:

For family home evening we assembled our 72 hour kit. Ethan and Hayley thought they could use kits of their own, and gathered a few items. Here is a picture of Ethan's kit (we couldn't pry Hayley's out of her hand to take a picture):

In case you can't tell, the contents of Ethans kit are: 5 pairs of underwear
1 garbage bag
We know that the point of these things is to be prepared for an emergency, but 5 pairs of underwear in 72 hours? What kind of emergency is he expecting, anyway?

Well, that's planning. I think Ethan knows that in an emergency, his poor bowels might be upset, thus needing 5 pairs of underware.

Do you have 5 pairs to spare from the weekly laundry? Wow!

Apparently you aren't familiar with the age-old formula for assembling 72 hour kits: include one pair of underwear per each year of age the victim will be when the projected emergency is to occur. Suprised you didn't know that.

I'm impressed he got underwear and a "laundry bag" in there. He is prepared. I love how he thinks.

Did you explain to him that 72 hours is only 3 days?

You can never have too many pairs of clean underwear!

Okay, that's so funny. We are also big fans of underwear and Carter likes to carry his in his backpack.

So cute! I am rolling on the ground laughing! hey, at least he is prepared with plenty of practical things. i think my boy would head straight for the pantry and we would only find oreo's and snacks in his kit!
