Caution: Projects and Kids Don't Mix

I was looking for some recent pics. to post, and I realized that we've kinda been neglecting the kids lately because of our many "projects". If we're not at the pool, I'm here doing stuff that the kids don't like. Luckily, Ethan does like to help when it includes power tools.


Here he is sanding down off the sage green paint on the toy box- he's equipped w/ "safety goggles" and all.

I had to dig up pictures we took a couple of weeks ago (when we were paying attention to our kids). This one is from the Baby Contest that we entered her in at the Orem Festival. She was in the costume category.

I think this is the cutest picture of Hayley and her Aunt - everyone says she looks like a mini Megan. I think so too- lucky for Hayley!!

She loves the swing on their little playground- she's nine mos. old! Maybe if I get crazy with the bow/headbands no one will notice her gap-toothed smile! ;)

Exclusive Beach Resort?...or Community Pool

Here are a few photos of our community pool. Now if this doesn't convince some of you folks to come and visit, I don't know what will. Seriously. The dry heat is really not that bad. It cooled down to 106 today and was really quite pleasant. (I never thought I'd be saying that.)

Our community has two pools. This one is a couple of blocks down the street and has a sandy beach. The other is only a few houses down and is a little cozier. I think we have been swimming 12 times in the 8 days that we've been here. It almost seems like vacation...minus the horrible hours and 30 minute commute.

Where we live

So, maybe it's just the area we live in- but Arizona is a lot more beautiful than I ever imagined. There are so many flowers everywhere- I took a picture of these on our walk by the lake across from our house.

I wish our home was one of the ones in the background. The people that live on the lake can just hop in
their boats and "drive" down to the grocery store. Maybe then the kids would want to come with me.
But, it gets better than that because one of the grocery stores here has FREE babysitting. Can you believe that?
